Judiciary report: Euro U19 Championships

The IRL Judiciary, in cooperation with the Euro U19s judiciary panel, took the following decisions:

15 July: Scotland v USA

  • Lidarius Moananu (USA) - On report: Law 15.1(a) [Trips, kicks or strikes another Player - Deliberate – Strikes with elbow/forearm – dropping on Player]. One match ban suspended for one year.

17 July: France v Scotland

  • Wassim Mouelhi (France) - Sin bin: Law 15.1(b) [When tackling or attempting to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent]. No further action.
  • Alexis Lis (France) - Sin bin: Law 15.1(b) [When tackling or attempting to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent]. No further action.
  • Baptiste Pourchi (France) - Sin bin: Law 15.1(b) [When tackling or attempting to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent]. No further action.
  • Seth Clapham (Scotland) - Sin bin: Law 15.1(k) [Shoulder Charge]. No further action.

20 July: USA v Ukraine

  • Ihor Yefanov (Ukraine) - Red card: Law 15.1(f) [Uses offensive or obscene language – Foul & Abusive Language To A Match Official]. One match ban.

20 July: England v France

  • Marcus Geener (England) - Sin bin: professional foul (lying on). No further action. 

 20 July: Scotland v Serbia

  • Jacob Grierson (Scotland) - Red card: Law 15.1(a) Trips, Kicks or Strikes another player – reaction to other player – lashing out]. Two match ban.
  • Sasa O'Flynn (Serbia) - On report: Law 15.1(b) When tackling or attempting to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent – Reckless – tried to tackle but reckless about the outcome]. One match ban.
  • Luka Trifunovic (Serbia) - On report: Law 15.1(a) [Trips, Kicks or Strikes another player – Strikes Punching – Running in and punching]. Two match ban.

All suspensions apply to the next domestic, representative or international games, whichever come first.
