Ghana talent on show as National teams take on Presidents XIII

The President’s Cup will bring together Ghana’s finest rugby league players in a thrilling double-header between the National team and President’s XIII (National B team) on Sunday, November 24,  at the Legon Rugby Stadium, Accra.

The 2024 event marks a milestone with the introduction of Youth and Women’s matches, highlighting Rugby League Federation Ghana’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and expanding the sport’s reach across Ghana.

For the first time, youth and women’s teams from the Ashanti Region will participate, showcasing the growth of rugby league in regions beyond the capital.

The RLFG is honored to host the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Keith McMahon, as the Special Guest of Honor. His presence underscores the international recognition of rugby league’s development in Ghana and highlights the power of sports diplomacy in strengthening ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

RLFG President, Mrs. Julian Storey, said: "The 2024 President's Cup celebrates the exceptional talent and unity in Ghana’s rugby league community. With the addition of women’s and youth teams, we continue to drive inclusivity, diversity, and pride across our nation."
