IRL seeks Chair for Women and Girls Advisory Group
International Rugby League is seeking to recruit a Chairperson for its Women and Girls Advisory Group.
The successful applicant, who can be based anywhere in the world, will be responsible for leadership of the advisory group and, through it, facilitate the creation and implementation of a clear, coherent plan to promote the IRL’s objectives for women and girls rugby league as part of the broader IRL strategy.
IRL expresses its sincere thanks to inaugural WGAG Chair Julia Lee, a pioneer of the game as the first women to referee a professional men's match in 1993, for her commitment to the role.
Julia Lee said: "It has been an honour and a privilege to lead such a talented group over the past five years. WGAG began as a new concept, and we quickly developed a vision and strategy to expand the women's and girls' game globally, a vision that has been warmly embraced by the IRL.
"The recent launch of a toolkit designed to support international federations in prioritising and fostering the growth of the women's and girls' game is a testament to that vision. I am excited to see the strong foundation we have built continue to drive the development of the women's and girls' game in the years to come."
